Following rab3d's Blender Cad tutorial, I was able to get some scale print-outs of mendel parts.
Ready to Cut
Threaded Rod Installed
Frame going up with more to cut
Assembled and Jigged
I know I need to put some more nuts and things on the rod, but I had to see it!
ps: some of you may have noticed that my threaded rod looks a bit thin, and you'd be quite right - I had M6 lying around so I decided to use it.
how thick should the wood be?
ReplyDeleteDavid, I used wood about 25-30mm thick. I don't think its particularly crucial for these parts. For the parts where it is important, I have added side views to the print-outs so I can measure the proper thickness and cut to size with my crude mill.
